Organic Garlic Granules (Allium sativum)
How to make Garlic Granules and Rosemary Bread...
Combine 1 cup of warm water with 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast and 1 teaspoon of honey. Let stand for 5 minutes, until lightly foamy.
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of whole-wheat flour, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of Garlic granules, 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary, and ¾ teaspoon of salt.
Add the yeast mixture, ¼ cup of plain Greek yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms, adding a little more water if it feels dry.
Knead for 6 to 8 minutes, until the dough is smooth and springy. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and leave to rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a lined loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 25 to 30 minutes.
Brush the top lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with a small pinch of Garlic granules. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
Cool before slicing. Serve alongside soup, salad, roasted vegetables, or onion jam.
